Exclamation Phones Suddenly Dead / All Cards Showing Unknown

Have an IP 500v2 cabinet R8.1 (69) installed 2 years ago that suddenly had all phones go dark. When logging into config, all cards show up as "Unknown". Have solid red lights on ports 1/9 on all cards. Have tried upgrading system to 8.1(95) and have defaulted system but the problem persists. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Start by unplugging all connections from the control unit (mark your cables before doing this)

Now that you have all expansion modules, daughter cards out of the control unit. Boot up and see if you can connect to it. (if you can't. Try using the DTE port to default it using the AT commands)

If you can connect=

Inserting the first Daughter card on slot 1., then 2, and so on... Until you have completed connecting all your components back.

If something freaks out along the way, that is your defective part.

If all connects fine, then move to connect one patch cord at a time.

I have found that people might plug stuff in the other side of the wire sending voltage back to the IP Office causing it to reboot and do all sorts of stuff..

Good luck..
