I received questions from Customer ITSec about "sroot" user of Avaya CM, AES, SM and SMGR as below. 1. Is "sroot" user manage by AVAYA? 2. Could customer change "sroot" user and manage this user? Best Regards, LA |

1. Yes, sroot (services root) is managed by Avaya.
2. No, the account is ASG protected. Avaya uses one-time passwords to access sroot. Some products allow standard root or customer root when deploying using SDM. |
