Guys, hope you can help,
Setup: We have a MPLS system with Co_Lo, Avaya IP office server connect in the Co-Lo on LAN1 to local DC subnet. LAN 2 connected directly to SIP providers Router. QoS has been enabled on the MPLS routers ( so we have been informed) defualt DSCP 46 on Avaya IP office server, and default on the Avaya switches. DSCP enabled on MPLS router to reserve/prioritise VoIP traffic. Issue: 2 office with IP Phones and Avaya POE Switches, Avaya switches connected directly to MPLS routers. intern ext to ext (even across the MPLS to other Avaya enabled offices) calls are fine. Externall calls inbound or outbound we get call qulity issues. Our Avaya support guy cannot get the network topology working across LAN1 and LAN2, could this be the issue?. Is SIP traffic coming across the LAN's marked differently to VoIP ext to EXt cals?. Any assistance would be appreciated. |

Hi,
Just a quick one, do you have monitoring tools available on your network to check for bad quality..Also run sniffer traces and see that packets doesn`t get retagged with different values on network..This will also confirm that tagging is adhered to by your settings set. |
