If you're hiring a software engineer for a new project, you may want to ask your colleagues for recommendations https://mlsdev.com/services/dedicated-development-team. Then, you can also use professional platforms to search for developers. The problem with this approach is that it takes too much time and is not scalable. This is why it's so important to consider the size of your network when hiring a software engineer. Once you have a good idea of the skills and expertise you need, you can begin looking for other resources.
