Question AEP Latency Issue

Hi, We are having the same issue as in this post, but it was never answered.

Does anyone know anything about what could be causing this?

Hi,

this is something that has to be dealt on the application server end. One needs to check if there is a network latency or if the app server is taking time to respond. AAEP does not have any control over this.

Thanks for responding. We will look into that.

In the mean time, could you tell me what "First Prompt Latency" is exactly? Is it the time that it takes for the first prompt to be retrieved and played or what would this be?

Also, what would I be looking for on the app server to see how much time its taking to respond?

"First prompt Latency" is the time taken by the app server to respond to a "HTTP GET" request from the MPP.

From the app server front, you might want to check with the specific app server experts. We have limited knowledge in the 3rd party servers.
