Default 9641g - Cannot upgrade FW to 6.2.3

Hello,

I am new here, so go easy on me.

I have successfully updated 9640g, 9670g and other 9600 series phones on my current setup. (I am using simple IIS setup with firewall off.)

However, I cannot seem to successfully upgrade the fw on a 9641g (Model: 9641GD01A).

The phone finds the 96x1Hupgrade.txt file but then hangs and does nothing for 1-2 minutes and then restarts. Checked the server logs and the phones gets a 200 response code each time for the file, but like I said it just restarts.

Works fine for my other 9600 series phones fw upgrades, except this model.
Have not touched the 96x1Hupgrade.txt file and my 46xxsettings.txt file is present.

I have tried all versions of the 6.0 firmware, I could find on the http://Support.Avaya.Com
96x1-IPT-H323-R6_2_2_09-071012
96x1-IPT-H323-R6_2_3_13-011613

The one thing that stands out to me is the current fw on phone appears to be 6.0.0 however I cannot find any information on the Kernel or App files:

App file: S9621_41HAL_R6_0R58_V4R52.TAR
Kernel file: S96X1AUKR_R6_0R58.TAR

However, I cannot find those fw files anywhere, nor can I find information on those fw files..
Is it possible this is a grey market product w custom firmware?
Even if that were true, would it make it incapable of a fw update?
Also, I am using the phone sucessfully with IPO 8.0 - would this stop me from being able to update the phone?
Do I need to use Communication Manager or MV_IPTel?

Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.
