Default Upgrade WAP9132

Avaya WAP9132 WiFi AP
SCD Firmware: 5.00
Bootloader: 7.1.0
Radio Driver: 3.1.0
Software Version: 7.6.1

I'm trying to upgrade the software from 7.6.1 to 8.3.1. This AP is being managed by WOS. I have successfully upgraded dozens of other AP's in my environment with the exact same specs using the same file. I've tried upgrading via the WOS, CLI, and also logging into the Web utility of the AP directly. I have 3 AP's that will not update to this or any other version of software.

When I try to upgrade from the web interface of the AP directly:

When I set the active image to the new version it says the system software image failed integrity test and removing invalid system software image. When I try to upload the new software it says processing and validating system software upload.... then says an error occurred uploading the requested software image.

When I use WOS to push out the upgrade:

Begins the upgrade process - connecting to Access Point, shows 0% completed,
then says sleeping for 5 seconds before retrying transfer.
Then it tries the entire process again 5 times with the same results etc...
Eventually it says Failed Upgrading Access Point OS: timed out 5 times while attempting to transfer files.

I've reboot the AP's, power cycled them, restored factory defaults etc... Anyone have any ideas why I can't upgrade the software?

I'm having this exact same problem with a few 9132 access points. Still haven't found a solution.

OK, I found a solution. You have to use the Avaya Virtual Console.

Open avaya console.
Select the AP that is having problems with the firmware update.
Reboot the AP
Press spacebar to stop the boot process
Type in username and password
Type DHCP to get an IP address.
Type dir to see what is stored on the flash.
Set up your TFTP server
type "update server <tftp server IP> XS-8.3.1-7069.bin" without the quotes.
Wait for the file to transfer
type dir to make sure the file is there.
type update to reboot the AP
go to the web interface, go to system tools and select the new bin file.
Click Save and Reboot.
