Hi All,
We are about to convert from ATM to IP connected port networks and I am concerned as to whether our STE phones will still work. We have both analog and BRI type of STEs and they work fine over ATM. Has anyone tried using secure STEs over IP? Thank You, alindquist |

The STE phones WILL work and as long as the Clock Sync Over IP feature is correctly configured. There are other ways to ensure the STE's still work as well such as if the remote PN has a PRI coming in and you force all the STE calls in and out of the local PRI OR you can do what we did prior to CSoIP feature enablement by extending a DS-1 interface from the main site to the remote PN via T-1 Fiber Muxes. The easiest thing is to configure the CSoIP feature providing that you have G430 and G450 gateways. For more information on this, please see the information starting on page 44 of the Administrator’s Guide at:

Thanks you my friend. I'll give those ideas a try.
