HI,
we're migrating some TDM licensing to IP and we want replace some 2500 analog phones for Avaya IP Deskphone 1210 but we can't enable the call waiting on this model. With the 2500 analog phones we have a feature called "Call Waiting -- from Incoming Trunk" (or CWA), but we can't find this for the 1210 model. There's something missing on the CS1000? or can we activate this in other way? Please Help!! Thansk and best regards, Amedina |

The 1110, 1210 (as well as 2001 and 2033) do not support call waiting on the CS 1000. This is documented in the IP Phone Fundamentals NTP document (Appendix T - Call Features).

Thanks for your reply dermotwall,
it does not support even the tone when there's an incoming call and you already have one? I understand that 1210 does not support "Call Waiting" as a Key Feature, but what I need is, for example, if user A is having a call, and user B try to call user A, the phone that user A use does not respond to user B with "Busy line", but that user A receive a tone indicating that there's an incoming call. Isn't this possible with the 1210?? Regards, |

Call waiting on the digital and IP sets is associated with a Call Waiting key, so it is not possible to define the class of service without such a key.
