Question How to retrieve the CDR records from S6200 database directly?

As we know, there's a postgres SQL database by the default installation of MX 5.2. The database can be access by logining as postgre user. However, there is no record can be retrieved by using psql - d bridgedb and select * from cdr although some conferences have been carried on and there ARE CDR files generated.

My question is how to retrieve the records directly from the database instead of getting them from CDR files or from CRS indirectly?

To answer your question, Avaya don't support direct public access to the CDRs database on the Bridge. We developed the CSPI interface in order to “isolate” customer access from the raw database access on the Bridge.

But, it's important to recognise that Avaya reserve the right to redesign the structures in future release so there is no guarantee of backward compatibility for direct access to the Bridge records.

The preferred method for accessing billing data is to use the CRS Billing application.

The CRS Billing application does provide consolidated data records (Cdr records joined with their Codr and billing counterparts) in an output file. This will be maintained in future releases.

What if the Client does not want the CRS. In that case the only other option is to FTP the CDR's from the CDR Folder right ?
