Unhappy IP calls cut out

I'm fairly clueless when it comes to our Avaya IP phone system but have been tasked with finding out why calls to/from our office cut out from time to time and without warning. This doesn't happen only after a certain period, so I don't believe it's a timeout issue.

We have 2 SIP lines and 20 extensions/phones.

I'm looking at SysMonitor now but not sure what I'm looking for.
Perhaps there is a setting in Office manager I should look at?

If anyone has any advice, I'd be very grateful.

Can you clarify as exact product you have is it communication manager or IP office or any other PBX system from Avaya?
