Im not to sure as im new to avaya and use to cisco, could you give me a slight help where to look for that

Try this CLI command: show system

You should see the sotfware version.

a colleague is currently using my Cisco cable and serial to usb but i will be back with the result ASAP. When i get the wires back lol, i have 45mins of my work day left and i hope to get you the results within that time if not, it will be tomorrow.

I wrestled the cable back :P, and its 5.3

Sorry for late reply, but heres the odd thing - i can ping the switch.
That is what is confusing me.

Hi, ive changed the management ip on the switch to 192.168.0.202 and when i ping it i get
http://prntscr.com/amd9et
the ip that is replying is my own PC's IP >:O
and still cant access CLI.

After all i reset the switch and redid everything and BAM, i have GUI. Thanks all that helped
