Question Avaya Media Servers Upgrade

Hi Folks

Just looking for some info.

We have a customer on Linux 6.x and AMS on version 7.8.446.

We need to go to AMS version 8.x on the same server but the Linux needs to come up to 7.6

Just wondering what way to approach this.

Can the Linux be simply upgraded without affecting the 7.8 or corrupting it?

Or do you get an option when you install the 8.x Media server to upgrade the Linux?
Any help or tips welcome..
Thanks
