Default user authentication through the active directory avaya one x portal version 9.0.5.0

On page 15 of the Implementing OneXPortal.pdf dated November 2009, it clearly states that Active Directory can be used for User authentication, but our VAR keeps telling us that I can not be used.

Can someone clear this up for us. and if it is possible can you point me to a document that shows how to integrate with active directory?

your help is greatly appreciated.

Default user authentication through the active directory avaya one x portal version 9.0.5.

Hi Bfangu,
Yes For Sure in Avaya One-x Portal Users are Authenticate by Active Directory only.
I did that for one of My Customer.
Steps Are Below.
1. Import the User (Time on import depends upon that How many no. of Active Directory Users are there.)
2. License the Users
3.Now go to URL http://<IP address of one-x portal>/ and login with AD credential of User. It will open a New Webpage according to user.
