Default Avaya 3641 Registers as Avaya 4606

We have a new Avaya IP 500 V2 running software version 9.0.200.860
We have installed an AVPP and I've been able to get an Avaya 3641 Wireless IP phone to connect to our WLAN and it can contact the TFTP server that has been set up.
It will pull the user name and extension from the main unit.
We can call the 3641 from an extension and it will ring and we can pick up and talk.
I can place a call to an extension and talk.
My only issue is for some reason that I have been unable to fathom or get any sort of help with, the Avaya IP 500 system sees it as an Avaya 4606 which is a hard phone with 6 buttons and I can't do anything about that. I can't program the buttons to do anything on this wireless phone. I need to know what I need to do to make the phone register correcly on the system.
