Default Retreive/View old chat & Emails

this may sound trivial, but I can not find anywhere to do so.

Can a customer (admin) retrieve an email that an agent sent a week or a month ago?
Same question for chat. Can a customer (admin) retrieve a web chat that an agent performed a day, a week or a month ago?

If so, how?
