Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a way on communication manager to peform digit manipulation of the CLID of a calling party? I know that this is possible on the CS1000 but I don't know if it's possible on the Communication Manager. Thanks in advance, Alex |

Hi Alex,
The digit manipulation of the of the CLID of a calling party can be done in AVAYA Communication Manager as well. This is available on the trunk group form :- Page number 2. As per the Administrator Guide for Avaya Communication Manager:- "The Incoming Calling Number - Delete, Insert, and Format fields are the administrable fields for the Calling Line Identification Prefix feature. They appear when the Direction field is incoming or two-way. I hope this helps. Regards. |

JJoshi,
You are correct, however my understanding is that this would apply to every single call that comes though this trunk, however I only want to remove the digits if it matches a pattern. In my case, I want to remove the first 3 digits if the first 3 digits match the customer ID number. Furthermore I raised a ticket in technical support and they told me that this was not possible and I therefore raised a GRIP. Alex |
