Hi,
I would like to know, if it's possible within CM to use a prefix to be able to change the CLID when making outbound calls. I've learned this is possible in CS1K. This feature is specially useful in Call Centers where an agent might be be serving different campaigns, but would like to show a different CLIDS when making outbound calls for different campaings. Thanks, Alex |

With Communication Manager, an end user cannot change their Caller ID. What is sent out of CM is determined by what is administered on the "public-unknown-numbering" table.

I believe I have found the right thread for this question. We have a requirement for a single station to out pulse a specific number with each call. I already use the public unknown table (PUT) to send out our main listed number (MLN) with all calls.
So far I have tried several digit strings including . . . Ext__Ext___Trk____CPN____________CPN Len__Code__Grp(s) Prefix_________Len 4... 1234........ 4011234567.... 10 4... 1234........ 401123........ 10 But the out pulse is appearently taken from the trunk group (TG) previously set up in the PUT with the MLN. Any thoughts? ![]()

![]() ![]() An auditor wants to test medical providers as to their comfort level with participating in medical fraud and/or abuse of current law. This person wants to prevent the provider from learning that he or she is speaking with an insurance company. The system requirements included both inbound and outbound routing enforcement. This is due to the requirements for invisibility for the auditor and for dial in failure by the called party. There may be other ways to do this. However this is how I built the solution: The Switch Elements Required for this Solution 1 Station “add station 8838” 1 Uniform Dial Plan Table (UDP) entry “change uniform-dialplan 1” 1 AAR Digit Analysis Table entry “change aar analysis 1” 1 Route Pattern (RP) entry “change route-pattern 12” 1 Trunk Group (TG) “add trunk-group 7” 1 Class of Restriction (COR) “change cor 59” 1 Numbering - Public/Unknown Format entry “change public-unknown-numbering 0” I first created a new trunk group (TG). Here are the important elements in its configuration. TRUNK GROUP Group Number: 7 Group Type: isdn CDR Reports: y Group Name: Auditor COR: 59 TN: 1 TAC: 5807 Direction: outgoing Outgoing Display? n Carrier Medium: PRI/BRI Dial Access? n Busy Threshold: 255 Queue Length: 0 Service Type: public-ntwrk On page 5 I set up one port on an ISDN/PRI DS1 board for use by this one station Next I created a new class of restriction (COR). Let’s say that it is 59. This COR will route calls from the auditor’s phone by way of the new TG. change cor 59 CLASS OF RESTRICTION COR Number: 99 COR Description: Investigation Line F06 FRL: 6 APLT? y Can Be Service Observed? y Calling Party Restriction: none Can Be A Service Observer? n Called Party Restriction: none Time of Day Chart: 5 Forced Entry of Account Codes? n Priority Queuing? n Direct Agent Calling? n Restriction Override: all Facility Access Trunk Test? y Restricted Call List? n Can Change Coverage? n Access to MCT? y Fully Restricted Service? n Group II Category For MFC: 7 Hear VDN of Origin Annc.? n Send ANI for MFE? n Add/Remove Agent Skills? n MF ANI Prefix: Automatic Charge Display? n Hear System Music on Hold? y PASTE (Display PBX Data on Phone)? N I set the facility restriction level (FRL) index to a 6 so that the auditor could call virtually anywhere. I am not concerned with abuse of this number at I have call accounting to monitor its use. I left the ability to call everyone on the restriction pages. Station Requirements There were two requirements in the station configuration: On tab 1, the COR is set to: “59.” On tab 2, the Per Station CPN - Send Calling Number is set to “y.” Uniform Dial Plan Table (UDP) Entry change uniform-dialplan 1 UNIFORM DIAL PLAN TABLE Matching Insert Node Pattern Len Del Digits Net Conv Num 8838 4 0 338 aar n AAR Digit Analysis Table Entry change aar analysis 1 Page 1 of 2 AAR DIGIT ANALYSIS TABLE Location: all Percent Full: 1 Dialed Total Route Call Node ANI String Min Max Pattern Type Num Reqd 338 7 7 12 aar n Route Pattern (RP) Entry change route-pattern 12 Pattern Number: 12 Pattern Name: CLM Ivst8838 F0 SCCAN? n Secure SIP? n Grp FRL NPA Pfx Hop Toll No. Inserted DCS/ IXC No Mrk Lmt List Del Digits QSIG Dgts Intw 1: 7 0 401 1 3 8838 n user Public Unknown Table Entry change public-unknown-numbering 0 NUMBERING - PUBLIC/UNKNOWN FORMAT Total Ext Ext Trk CPN CPN Len Code Grp(s) Prefix Len 4 8838 7 401427 10 Result The result is a number sent out with these calls that cannot be dialed by the provider. The message produced by a call to this number is: “The number you have dialed is not in service. Please check the number and try your call again.”
