Question Handset 5610SW IP VPN

Hi there,

I'm wondering if anyone can give me some details on how to go about setting up an Avaya handset to connect to our local firewall via VPN? Our company took over another company and they use these phones which apparently used to VPN back to their router.

Phone model: 5610SW IP

They do appear to have the VPN firmware loaded.

We are using a Sonicwall NSA 2400 to provide remote VPN service.

I've found the options on the phone (they start when I plug the phone in) however nothing I enter seems to work. Currently I have it set to Cisco Xauth w/ PSK but I am unable to modify the username and password fields. Generic PSK also fails. I see the error "invalid username and password" is there a per-defined one?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Anything I missed please let me know. I'd be happy to post.

Thanks!
