Problem Clarification

SBCE cannot obtain licenses from Standalone WebLM, IP Office or System Manager WebLM. EMS Dashboard shows one of the following License State errors:

·         Problem Connecting to WebLM Server
·         License or grace period expired.  System Configuration is restricted
·         Grace Period State Initial Evaluation Period.

On the top of the page the following notification may be displayed:

ASBCE 7.2.1. What is the correct way to check license usage? The customer uses external Weblm release 7. Usages show 0 for all features.

"Your system does not have a valid license and is currently in the initial grace period.  Please make sure you have configured a WebLM server and that the WebLM server has a current, unexpired Session Border Controller for Enterprise license installed.
Your system will no longer accept configuration changes once the initial grace period has expired until a valid license is installed.  If you have already installed or updated your SBCE license, click here to refresh the the licensing information from the configured WebLM server."

The correct url format is being used for the WebLM server:

https://<WebLM_server_IP>:52233/WebLM/LicenseServer

or

https://<WebLM_server fqdn >:52233/WebLM/LicenseServer

The /archive/log/gui/gui.log in SBCE at 'debug' level shows the following error:

07-06-2016 14:20:50.076 [c.s.common.weblm.LicenseStatusManager] DEBUG: Exception occured while contacting WebLM server - Problem with connection to server: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: No trusted certificate found
com.avaya.weblm.LicenseException: Problem with connection to server: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: No trusted certificate found
        at com.avaya.weblm.HttpConnection.getStream(HttpConnection.java:155)

 Customer context: License error

You can try "wget https://<WebLM_server_IP>:52233/WebLM/LicenseServer " from SBCE root login. To check if weblm server is reachable .

If Weblm in on SMGR server, make sure weblm/smgr webpage is working.
