  • Application Server / UC Module 11.x, 10.x, 9.1

Problem Clarification

Most IP Office systems (500v2, Server Edition, Application Server...) have a Verisign Class 3 International Server Certificate Authority
valid from 2010 to 2020 in the IP Office Trusted Certificate Store.

Although this certificate is not used by anything anymore, it expires on February 7th, 2020, causing an alarm in IP Office System Status.

You can ignore the alarm - this does not affect the services, or follow the process below to remove it.

Unable to remove expiring Verisign certificate.

This applies to ANY IP Office 9.1 to 11.0 (500v2, Server Edition, Application Server, UCM, Powered By IP Office)

Example using IP Office Server Edition 11.0:

  • System Status will show the alarm in RED.
  • Manager will be sending alarms when system is configured accordingly.

Example using IP Office 500v2 10.1:

  • IP Office Manager | Security  can be used to view the Verisign Certificate.
  • No alarm is seen in Manager

Example from Server Edition 9.1:

  • IP Office Manager | Security  can be used to view the VeriSign Certificate.
  • No alarm is seen in Manager
