How to shutdown your Interactive Response System.

  1. Login to the Oracle Solaris operating system as root.
  2. Stop the voice system with the command, stop_vs
  3. Shutdown the system with the command, shutdown -i5 -g0 -y
  4. Unplug the power cord(s) from the system power supply.
  5. Unplug the power from any auxiliary equipment attached to the system, such as a tape drive or modem.
  6. All backup tapes and software should be sent to a safe location.
