The Interdigit timer is set to 3 seconds on the J Series Phones in Avaya Cloud Office Solution, some Customers may find this too short, there are two ways to modify the Timer:
1) There are some options on the phone itself.
Setting the dialling mode:- Use this procedure to set the dialling method used to initiate dialling.
Press Main menu.
Scroll to Settings, and press Select.
Scroll to Phone, and press Select.
Scroll to Dialling mode.
Press Toggle to select one of the following options:
Manual: Press the Call soft key to start a call.
Auto: Ensure that the dialed digits match the dial plan to start a call.
Default: Press the Call soft key to start a call.
Press Save.
If you set to manual, the phone will wait until you press the call key to start the call rather than waiting for inter digit timeout.
2) We can change remotely from the phone webpage, if it is located in same network as admin's PC.
First, we need find out the IP of phone, by Press the 3 Line Menu Button, Select the Network Information, then Select the IP Parameter, the IP is list as Phone/Ethernet. using any web browser, and using https://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP of the Phone), we can get to the webpage of the phone, after login as admin password is admn!123, if the phone is not locked. if the admn!123 is not working, the password should be the instanceID of the phone, please check the https://support.avaya.com/public/index?page=content&id=DOCS100951 to find out the instanceID of the phone.
Second, after login to phone webpage, the Inter digit Timer is in Settings/Dialling, please make sure press the Save button after changing it.
