Description

This is a general database error that is reported by the database interface process (ORALDB) during call processing. Depending on the error, application functionality may be impaired.

Repair procedure

The steps that follow are suggestions. For assistance, contact your database administrator or database vendor.

To correct the problem:

1. If the reason field of error message is ORA1000: Maximum open cursor exceeded, consult the application developer to reduce the number of database references to the database.

The application developer should reduce the number of applications involving database access that run on the system simultaneously.

2. If the reason field of the error message is anything else, perform the repair procedure for system message DB011.
3. If the problem persists and the database is remote, check the ORACLE network.
