Dialout configuration screens

The system can send alarms to a particular telephone number. This set of screens lets you set how and why the system can dial out by letting you change dialout parameters. You can view the current values of these parameters by using the Display Parameters option.

Fields

The following fields are displayed by the browser:

• Char Size � The number of bits in a character. Valid values are 7 and 8.
• Dialout on? � Whether or not the system will call out
• Dialstring � The dialstring to use when using the modem. Valid values are:

  \n � insert a newline character.

  \r � insert a carriage return.

  \p � pause 1 second.

  \d � delay 2 seconds

  \i � insert the dial out location identifier

  \I � insert the inads formatted string

  \T � insert the dial out location telephone number

  \s � insert a space

  Default dialstrings are to INADS for Dialout Location 1, and to a pager for Dialout Location 2.

• Location ID � A name that identifies the location that the system will call
• Maximum allowable temperature � The temperature, in degrees Celsius, beyond which the system will call. Listed as Maxtemp on the display screen.
• Minor alarms tracked? � Whether or not minor alarms are tracked. Listed as Track on the display screen.
• Modem Speed � The baud rate of your modem
• Parity � The parity to set for the system's modem. This is even, odd, or none.
• Phone Number � The phone number to call. Allowable characters are: 0-9, (, ), #, *, ., [blank],-.
• Port used � The port to use when dialing out. Valid options are ttya and ttyb.
• Product ID � The INADS product ID
• Trace on? � Whether or not Trace is active
