The Solaris Installation Program

The Solaris installation program is divided into a series of short sections where you'll be prompted to provide information for the installation. At the end of each section, you'll be able to change the selections you've made before continuing.

- If your keyboard does not have function keys, or they do not respond, press ESC; the legend at the bottom of the screen will change to show the ESC keys to use for navigation.

The system copies files from the CD. This takes a few minutes.

When it is complete, the system automatically opens the CD-ROM drive and displays the following message:

Put the CD labeled AVAYA IR R1.2 Core Packages - CD 3 into the drive.

Remove the CD in the CD-ROM drive and insert the CD labeled Avaya IR R1.2 Core Packages - CD 3. Press Enter.

The installation process continues for several minutes.

When it is complete, the system displays the following message:

IMPORTANT:
During the reboot process on the Sun Fire 280R, the system synchronizes the second hard disk drive to initialize the Disk Mirroring feature. The synchronization process takes approximately 2.5 hours. When it is complete the system displays the console login prompt.
