To administer VoIP:
Trunk connections based on the MultiVantage H.323 Trunk protocol. Use trunk connections whenever the IVR service does not need to know which VoIP channel is used during calls.
Station connections based on the MultiVantage H.323 Terminal (Station) protocol. Use station connections when there is a requirement to reach individual IVR channels from the packet network, or where switching elements restrict membership to queuing and routing structures to ports used by H.323 Terminals. Station connection is required to use the ASAI and CTI features.
A VoIP subsystem supports up to 93 channels.
See Configuring DEFINITY or MultiVantage for VoIP for more information.
See Administering Voice over IP for more information.
VoIP requires an IP connection between the IR system and the DEFINITY or MultiVantage system. If you are using the VoIP Monitoring Manager (VMM) to monitor call quality, then the system running that application must be part of IP communications also.
See Stopping and starting the voice system for more information.
