Administering AMIS Remote Machines or Telephone Numbers

Remote machines can be remote voice mail systems or remote telephone numbers. You can administer a single remote AMIS analog voice mail system, a range of remote AMIS analog voice mail systems, a single message delivery telephone number, or a range of message delivery telephone numbers as needed.

You can add remote machines during initial system administration or at any time, as your network grows. This topic provides instructions for adding remote machine information on the local machine.

 

Important: The INTUITY AUDIX system accepts only one local machine. Do not attempt to add a second local machine. Use the instructions in this section only to add remote machines.

 

To add a remote AMIS machine or telephone number to the local system:

1. Log in to the INTUITY AUDIX command prompt screen.
   

   The system displays the AUDIX command prompt screen.

2. Enter add machine at the enter command: prompt.

The system displays the Remote Machine Profile screen, page 1.

3. Complete the fields in this screen by using the information provided in the table for the Field Definitions: Remote Machine Profile screen, page 1.
   
4. Press F7 (NextPage).

The system displays the Remote Machine Profile screen, page 2.

5. Complete the fields in this screen by using the information provided in the table for the Field Definitions: Remote Machine Profile screen, page 2.
6. Press F3 (Enter) to save the information.

The cursor returns to the command line, and the system displays the following message:

Command Successfully Completed.

7. Enter another administrative command at the enter command: prompt or click Return to Main.
