Overview of Caller Applications Editor
|
Use the Caller Applications Editor to create and deploy caller applications.
Starting Caller Applications Editor
Run Caller Applications Editor from the Avaya Messaging Applications Server folder.
The Caller applications Window is displayed.
Caller applications are represented in a hierarchical tree structure in the left pane of the MMC console. The tree can have the following levels:
- Caller Apps level
The top level of the tree is the Caller Apps node. All caller applications form branches of this node.
- Caller application level
Beneath the Caller Apps node are the caller applications that you have created or opened.
- Application node level
Beneath the caller applications are the application nodes, which represent the menu items in a caller application. A caller application can have many application nodes. If submenus are required, it may have several levels of application nodes.
Menus and icons
You perform tasks in the Action menu. The system adds menu items to this menu.
Action menu
The Action menu is context sensitive. The contents of this menu varies according to the node level selected in Caller Application Editor. The following tables list the caller application menu options:

Open Application
|
Displays a dialog box listing all the Caller Applications that are available for editing.

New - Caller Application
|
Creates a new caller application node below the Caller Apps node.

Properties
|
Displays Caller Applications Editor properties.

Result
|
|
Save Application
|
Saves the caller application with the same application name and embedded ID, and also increments its revision number.
|
|
Save Application as
|
Saves the caller application with a new application name and embedded ID. On the next deployment this caller application will be treated as a new application by the MASs in the voice mail domain.

|
Close Application
|
Closes the caller application. You are prompted to save editing changes made since the last Save.
|
|
New - Application Node
|
Creates a new application node below the caller application.
|
|
Properties
|
Displays the properties for the caller application.
|
Action Menu Items - Application node level

Result

Change access key
|
Changes the keypress required by the caller to access the application node.
|
|
New - Application Node
|
Creates a new application node below the caller application node or currently selected application node.
|

Delete
|
Deletes an application node. If the application node is referenced by other nodes, a dialog box is displayed with information on the referenced nodes.

Properties
|
Displays the properties for the application node.
