Enabling transaction generation

Report information is extracted from the transaction database. Transaction generation must be enabled for the voice mail domain, and for the time period you want to report on. Transaction generation is disabled by default.

The transaction database is part of the tracing system. For more information about the tracing system, see Voice Mail Domain Administration.

To enable transaction generation

  1. Start Voice Mail System Configuration from the Avaya Unified Messenger folder.
  2. Choose the voice mail domain.
  3. Choose Tracing System.
  4. Select the Transaction Generation property page.
  5. Select Enable Transaction Generation.
  6. Click OK. By default, transactions are generated at midnight.
