Configuring hangup detection properties

Use the Hangup Detection property page to configure PBX hangup detection properties for a voice mail domain. You can specify hangup string options and tone settings.

To display the Hangup Detection property page

  1. In the Voice Mail System Configuration window, choose the voice mail domain.
  2. Choose PBXs.
  3. Choose the PBX you want to configure.
  4. Select the Hangup Detection property page.

To configure hangup detection properties

Complete the following fields in the Hangup Detection property page:

Note: Default values differ depending on the PBX type.

To add a hangup tone

  1. Click Add New Tone.
  2. The Add New Tone dialog box is displayed.

  3. Enter a unique name for the hangup tone in the Tone Name field. You can configure up to 64 tones.
Note: You must specify a tone identifier and length on the Hangup Detection property page.

To remove a hangup tone

  1. In the Tone Settings field, select the tone you want to remove.
  2. Click the Remove Tone button.
  3. You are asked to confirm your decision before the tone is deleted.
