Configuring the tracing file size

The tracing file stores operation history events before they are sent to the tracing server. You can change the default size of the tracing file for a MAS. It may be necessary to increase the size of the tracing file, particularly if heavy traffic is expected or if you expect the tracing server to be out of service for an extended period of time.

To configure the tracing file size

  1. In the Voice Mail System Configuration window, choose Message Application Servers.
  2. Choose the MAS you want to configure.
  3. Choose Trace File Size.
  4. The Operation History File Size property page is displayed.

  5. Enter the file size, in megabytes, in the Size of Operation History Trace File (MB) field. The range is 1 through 99. The default is 4.
