Customizing text-to-speech pronunciation (non-English languages)

You may need to add the following to the text-to-speech pronunciation dictionary:

To customize text-to-speech pronunciation

  1. Run TTSUDE60.EXE in the Vserver directory under the Modular Messaging software (MMS) base directory. For example,
  2. Program Files/MMS/Vserver/TTSUDE60.EXE

  3. In the TTS3000 User Dictionary Editor create a User Dictionary for the required language.
  4. Tip: You can find information about customizing text-to-speech pronunciation by selecting the Help tab in the User Dictionary Editor.

User Dictionaries must be copied to the directory, Program Files\MMS\VServer, on the MAS machine on which text-to-speech engines are installed.

Depending on the language, User dictionaries must have the following names:

    Language
    User Dictionary name
    French
    TTS3000FrenchUsrDict.dcb
    German
    TTS3000GermanUsrDict.dcb

    Dutch
    TTS3000DutchUsrDict.dcb

    TTS3000JapaneseUsrDict.dcb
    Chinese
    TTS3000ChineseUsrDict.dcb

  5. Repeat Step 2 for all text-to-speech languages.
  6. Repeat the procedure for all MASs in the voice mail domain.
