Restoring power to the system

To restore power to the system:

  1. For a rack-mounted unit: Reattach any cables you might have unplugged from the back of the machine.
  2. Plug the AC power cord back into the machine's power outlet as follows:
  3. Press the power button on the front of the machine.

    The green power lamp on the front of the machine should be lit.

  4. On the MAS: When the reboot completes, log in, then check that all installed Modular Messaging services are started. This could include the Call Me Server, Caller Applications Editor, Fax Sender Server, Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) Server, Mailbox Monitor Server, MM Messaging Application Server, and Tracing Server. To check or restart messaging services:
    1. Double-click the Monitor icon on the desktop, and select Services (Local) in the left-hand pane.
    2. In the right-hand pane of the Monitor screen, scroll down to the MM Messaging Application Server.
    3. Check the server's status. If needed, right-click on the service and select Start.
    4. Repeat steps b and c for each service as needed.
  5. Continue with any verification procedures needed to return the system to service.
