Configuring analog port boards

To configure analog port boards, complete the following procedures:

Note: You may have up to five of the following analog port boards installed on a MAS:

  • Dialogic 4-port Tip/Ring board
  • Dialogic 12-port Tip/Ring board

Note: You can use a combination of Dialogic 4-port and Dialogic 12-port Tip/Ring boards. For example, you may use 3 Dialogic 4-port boards and 2 Dialogic 12-port boards.

Configuring the boards

Perform the following steps to configure boards, using the sample tones already provided on the MAS. Optionally, you can build tone files using PBXpert/32 as described in the Installation Guide (pdf).

  1. Start at the Windows start-up menu, and select:

                Programs
                      Dialogic System Software
                            Dialogic Configuration Manager - DCM

The system displays the Computer Name popup window.

  2. In the Computer Name popup window, make sure that Local is selected and verify the MAS name.
  3. Click Connect. The system may take a few minutes to establish a connection.

Once the connection is established, the system displays the Dialogic Configuration Manager page.

  4. Under Configured Devices …. / PBX Integration, double-click the name of the first Dialogic board shown (such as #0). The system displays the Dialogic Configuration Manager Properties page.
  5. Click the Misc tab.
  6. For a D/120JCT-LS board only: Select the FirmwareFile field, then type spfax.fwl in the Value field.
  7. Select the TSFFileSupport field.
  8. Select Yes from the Value drop-down list.
  9. Click the DisconnectTone field.
  10. Select Yes from the Value drop-down list.
  11. Click the Files tab.
  12. Select TSFFileName. To find a prerecorded TSF file:
    1. Navigate to the C:\Avaya Support\Sample_Tone_Files directory.
    2. Select a TSF file that is appropriate for the switch to which you are connecting (for example, Avaya-G3-US.tsf).
    3. Ensure that the complete path and file name are visible in the field.

Note: If you cannot find a file for your switch, see the Installation Guide (pdf) for instructions.

  13. Click OK. The system displays the Dialogic Configuration Manager page.
  14. Repeat steps 4 through 13 for any other installed Dialogic boards (such as #1).
