Splitting nodes

Important: Split nodes that were originally merged by CNA may be remerged if CNA determines that the IP addresses are the same device. The chatter node split command does not exclude the split node from Chatter’s automatic merge functionality.

To manually split a router node in to intermediate hops

1. Access Privileged command mode. To access this mode, enter the following command: enable.
2. Enter the following command:

chatter node split <ip-address>

where <ip-address> is the IP address of the node that you want split.
