Performance groups provide a means of aggregating measurements for multiple prefixes that are geographically close, thereby increasing the data pool used by the CNA system when it makes routing decisions.
This allows the CNA system to more effectively evaluate prefixes that are of special interest but which may not generate large numbers of measurements individually.
