Prefixes (networks) Included in Reports

The trending database and snapshot reports do not use the same set of prefixes.

NOTE: The terms “prefix” and “network” will be used interchangeably in this manual.

Snapshot reports will include a user-defined number of the most active prefixes during the period covered by the snapshot database. Most active means most number of HRTT measurements recorded. The number of prefixes is determined by the command. Default is 100.

Prefix-specific trend data will be extracted from the snapshot database for a different set of prefixes, which will include the following:

• a user-defined number of the most active prefixes during the period covered by the snapshot database, set by the trending prefix-limit command.
• any prefix that has been given an alias or included in a report group (with the report prefix-alias or report group command)
• any prefix that is included in an active-measurement group (see the active-measurement group command), if trend-data collection has been enabled for that group with the trending active-measurement group (discontinued) command
• any prefix referenced in a saved trend report

The trend database also gathers router-specific and link-specific data that is based on all prefixes known to the CNA system.
