host-resources

The host-resources service runs on all modules, monitoring usage of CPU, memory and disks (both virtual and physical), as well as status of links.

Use the medic set command to set values for each of the following parameters:

See the companion document CNA Command Reference for default values.

You can set all parameters on all modules, except the max-phdisk and min-phdisk parameters. These are supported only on the management module, where the hard disk is located.

When resource usage exceeds these maximum thresholds, SNMP traps are thrown. See the snmptrapd service elsewhere in this chapter.

NOTE: The default value for maximum thresholds for all of the host-resources maximum CPU parameters is 101, which effectively disables traps for excessive CPU usage (since no resource can be utilized more than 100%).

There are no user-accessible routines for this service.
