Decision Maker Events
The CNA decision-maker process (also called dmaker) can send some or all of the following informational packets to the event-manager process:
- BGP Announcement--CNA has learned of a route from BGP
- BGP Event Summary--summary of BGP events which have occurred during the interval specified by the neighbor summarize-bgp-events command
- BGP Withdrawal--BGP has withdrawn a route
- Configuration Change--the decision-maker configuration has been altered by a command entered into the CNA CLI
- Link Status--the decision-maker process has detected a change in a service provider link’s status
- Route Asserted--the decision-maker process has asserted a route
- Route Selected--the decision-maker process has chosen a winner link
- Route Confirmed--an edge router has confirmed acceptance of an asserted route
- State Transition--the decision-maker process has detected a change in the CNA system’s operating mode, either to/from route assert mode, or between load optimization and performance-only mode
- Unlogged Action--the event-manager process was unable to log one or more decision-maker events
When the event is Route Asserted, Route Selected, Link Status or State Transition, the event packet will contain one or more reasons explaining why the action was taken, from the point of view of the decision-maker process.
