For sites in which the CNA management interface does NOT have direct Internet connectivity to the Avaya support site, it will be necessary to first copy the new CNA image to an appropriate intermediate host, which offers both direct IP connectivity, as well as either FTP:// or HTTP:// server functionality. Once the appropriate image is accessible from the Path Control management interface, the restore process can describe per the above description, substituting the appropriate intermediate host.
NOTE: The CNA Release image requires about 135 MB.
One other variation may be appropriate in some circumstances: it is possible to use the copy ftp:// command to place a copy of the CNA image on the local file system, and from that point using the restore <filename> command to initiate the restore process. This allows the retrieval of the image file to occur independent of the actual restore processing. Note that this approach leaves a copy of the image file on the CNA file system, where it will at some point need to be manually deleted.
