Ports and protocols 

Purpose

This section provides common ports and protocols used to administer minimum firewall requirements for the real-time components.

The following table lists common ports and protocols:

* It is necessary to administer a range of UDP ports on the Definity ECS when using the IP Media Processor. Use this same port range when administering the firewall for VoIP.
** 1720 is the default value, and the only value usable by Microsoft NetMeeting. The Avaya WVC can use 1720 or any value above 5000.
