Using a GUI-based FTP program

Note: ping the source board first to verify a communication link to the source board.

  1. Open the FTP program.

  2. Type in the source board's IP address and the user ID and password in the appropriate fields.

  3. The user ID and password are the ones you specified at the time you enabled the file system.

  4. Select binary for the file type.

  5. Press Connect.

  6. When connected, select the root directory on the source board (remote).

  7. Go to the temporary file directory on your PC (local) that the firmware image files which you obtained from the Avaya Customer Support Web site.

  8. Download all the files to the appropriate directory on the source board.

  9. Refresh the remote directory, if necessary, to verify that all the files were transferred.

  10. When done, end the FTP session.
