The Audio Editor for media allows you to record audio just like the Audio Editor for phrases.
To record an audio file, you must plug a microphone to your computer. Before recording, properly calibrate the automatic record levels of the microphone. Instead of relying on speakers, Avaya recommends you to use headphones while recording. For more information. see Configuring the Microsoft Speech SDK for Microphone Input.

| Enter descriptive comments related to the audio file. This text is only displayed in the Audio Editor.

| Select one option:
- To use an existing audio file, select Local. Dialog Designer enables the [File name] Browse button to navigate to the file you want to use.
- To use a file residing on some other application server, select External.

| If you have selected the External option in the Audio Information field, enter the URL of the file location.

| Enter a unique and relevant name for the audio file.

| (Display only) This field displays the audio format of the selected audio file.

only 8KHz 8-bit mono formats.
