Media Simulation

Dialog Designer supports simulation of media pages in the prompts with the help of Ambulant Player 1.9. The Ambulant Player is a third party software and is included as part of the Dialog Designer installation. Since the Ambulant Player is customized for Dialog Designer, you must only use this player provided with Dialog Designer installation. You must not download Ambulant Player from any other source and use it with Dialog Designer.

The simulation process of media pages is similar to the simulation of existing speech applications. For media simulation, you must enable the media player in your Dialog Designer workbench as follows:

  1. In your Dialog Designer workbench, click Preferences->Avaya->Application Simulation->Dialog Designer Simulation. The Dialog Designer Simulation window opens.
  1. In the Dialog Designer Simulation window, select the Enable Media Player check box.

Note:

You must enable the media player only if you are doing a media simulation.

Once you enable the media player in your Dialog Designer workbench, the simulation begins and the Ambulant Player automatically pops up. While simulating, the contents of the prompt streams to the Ambulant Player. You can now analyze the output of your media presentation without the actual platform or a display device.

After the simulation is complete, Dialog Designer closes the Ambulant Player application.
