Add Software Packages

Additional software packages may be installed from the system CD or
from technical support websites.
Most software installations require the voice system to stop. Plan
to do the installation during low usage hours.
- From the web-based Messaging Administration main
menu, select:
Software Update
- Follow the on-screen instructions to insert and navigate to the
CD.
- The system warns you that system data should be backed up. Perform
a system backup if necessary. Click Continue this operation
without current system backup.
The system displays a list of packages available on the CD, either
software packages or additional language sets depending on which
CD you have inserted.
- Select the package you want to install.
- Click Install selected packages.
The system displays a list of packages to be installed, and prepares
to install them.
- Review the list, then click Proceed with installation.
The system begins the installation and displays installation status
messages. The installation is complete when the pointer changes
from a wristwatch to an X.
- After the software is installed, scroll down to see the bottom
of the status page.
- If the software was installed successfully, remove the CD from
the CD drive.
- If you need to install additional software from another CD (such
as announcement sets), click Install more software.
Repeat the install process, beginning with step 2.
- Click Restart the System.
