Setting Up a Trusted Server

For the Avaya Intuity server to receive messages from or send messages to an email system (other than an internal application such as Message Manager), a trusted server must be administered between the Avaya Intuity server and the email system.

Security Risk!
The trusted server is empowered to do everything to a subscriber's mailbox that Intuity AUDIX can do. The procedures in this section include setting a password the trusted server must use to access AUDIX. There is a secondary layer of security (in addition to a trusted server password) that you can administer.
