Getting Inside the MAP/5P and MAP/5PV3
Removing Power (MAP/5P and MAP/5PV3).
The MAP/5P and MAP/5PV3 requires a dedicated circuit with a dedicated circuit breaker. The power cord connects to the rear of the system to the AC power inlet receptacle. See Back View (MAP/5P and MAP/5PV3),
Before you begin any work, complete the following procedure to remove power.
- Shut down the system.
- Turn off the monitor's power switch. The switch is located underneath the front right corner.
The green or amber lamp on the front bottom of the monitor should be off.
- Turn off the power switch on the front of the chassis. See Front View (MAP/5P and MAP/5PV3).
The green lamp labeled POWER ON on the front of the unit should be off.
Note: The MAP/5P V3 power switch is inoperable until the system is shut down.
- Remove the power cord from the AC receptacle in the wall.
Removing the Dress Cover (MAP/5P or MAP/5PV3)
The dress cover provides protection for the internal components. Remove the dress cover to access the internal components. See the Back View (MAP/5P and MAP/5PV3), and Removing the Dress Cover (MAP/5P and MAP/5PV3).
Shut power off before removing the dress cover.
- Place the dress cover lock on the back of the chassis in the open position.
- Simultaneously compress the dress cover latches on either side of the chassis.
- Slide the dress cover away from the chassis.
Replacing the Dress Cover (MAP/5P and MAP/5PV3)
See the Back View (MAP/5P and MAP/5PV3).
- Align the dress cover with the chassis.
- Slide the dress cover back until it locks into place.
- Close the dress cover lock on the back of the chassis.
Restoring Power (MAP/5P and MAP/5PV3)
- If necessary, attach the power cord to the system:
- For the MAP/5P, the monitor attaches to the outlet on the back of the platform with a separate power cord. See Back View (MAP/5P and MAP/5PV3).
- For the MAP/5PV3, the short end of the Y-cable attaches to the platform power inlet. The other end of the Y-cable attaches to the monitor. A separate power cord plugs into the Y-cable and the wall receptacle. See Y-Cable (MAP/5PV3 Only).
- Fasten the power cord to the dress cover lock using a cable tie.
Note: Leave some slack in the power cord between the dress cover lock and the back of the platform.
- Plug the power cord into the designated power outlet.
- Turn on the monitor's power switch. See the Front View (MAP/5P and MAP/5PV3).
The green or amber lamp on the front bottom of the monitor should be lit.
- Press on the power switch on the front of the system.
