A "trusted location" can be set via the Source Numbers tab in the User's configuration form. Note that external numbers used as trusted locations must provide ICLID.
These are locations that the System allows either data access, eg. a user dialing in from home, or access to Voicemail without a Voicemail Code, eg. a user collecting his Voicemail messages from a cell phone, or the location the Voicemail Server calls to inform the user of a new message.
To allow a User to collect Voicemail without being prompted for their Voicemail Code (only supported by Voicemail Lite and Voicemail Pro using IP Office mode). Prefix the number with a "V".
V202 - When set against the user with extension 202, this example allows the user to collect her/his VoiceMail from extension 202 without being prompted for a Voicemail Code. This is set by default for all users.
V7325551234 - When set against the user with extension 202, this example allows the user to collect her/his VoiceMail from an external number (7325551234), without being prompted for a Voicemail Code.
By default, each user is configured with their extension as a "trusted location", which enables them to dial *17 (default short code) from their own extension to collect Voicemail messages.
To allow RAS/data access only from a specified number, prefix the number (defined in the Source Numbers tab) with a "R".
R7325551234 - Based on this example, the user for whom this setting is defined can now have RAS/data access from the specified number (7325551234).
To have the Voicemail Server call the user when a new message has arrived for a Hunt Group, prefix the Hunt Group name with a "H".
When the hunt group receives a new message, the Voicemail Server rings the extension and informs the user.
Hsales - If user 202 is a member of the Sales Hunt Group, then defining Hsales within the user's Source Numbers tab will allow user 202 to receive notification when a message is left for the Sales Hunt Group.
To have the Voicemail Server call the user at a location other than their own extension when a new message is received, prefix the number (defined in the Source Numbers tab) with a "P". The telephone number must include any necessary external dialing prefix.
This facility is only available if using Voicemail Pro and through which the user has a Callback start point set.
P917325559876 - Based on this example, the user for whom this setting is defined will receive notification at the external number (7325559876) when a message is left on the user's extension.
