The serial port on the Sun Blade 150 platform is used to connect to the Access Security Gateway (ASG), which is used to control dial-up access to the Avaya IR system. Configuring the serial port for bi-directional communication allows remote users, such as Avaya support staff, to establish a connection to the system for remote administration and troubleshooting. |
